Journey Into Purpose
One day, a vivid story seized my imagination, filling my days and nights with scenes of grandeur and emotion. As I walked along the Hong Kong waterfront, these visions unfolded like a rich tapestry of colours. On March 7th, 2019, I felt compelled to give them life through writing. What began as storytelling became a deeply solitary journey, almost mandatory in its nature. In that quiet, free from distraction, I found myself asking profound questions—ones I never realized I needed to confront. It became a path to knowing my soul in ways I never imagined. These questions and thoughts have woven themselves into my novels, and I hope they resonate with those who find beauty in exploring transcendent ideas, which invariably kindle a journey into purpose.
Long After the Final Page Has Turned
Writing as Darktavian, I’ve been fortunate to draw from a global perspective shaped by my journey as both an airline pilot and entrepreneur. These diverse experiences across countries and cultures have greatly influenced the expansive world-building and intricate character development in A Dance of Force. Since 2019, I’ve dedicated myself to this endeavour, striving to craft stories that delve into philosophical reflection and introspection—hoping they not only challenge the mind but resonate deeply with the heart—for in the end it is only one’s heart that can give their life meaning.
During my transition from the jets of the skies to the intricate world of storytelling, I’ve sought to craft pages that resonate far beyond the moment of reading—embedding thoughts of strength and positivity that continue with the reader, offering reflections that inspire and uplift. For what is the value of a tale if it doesn’t leave the reader enriched, carrying forward principles that illuminate their path long after the final page has turned?

What made me end a lucrative airline career to write this story?
Leaving a career flying heavy jets was a difficult decision; I loved much of it, and it afforded me an interesting, stable, and fulfilling life. Yet, I felt a pull toward writing that seemed destined, almost effortless, as if the choice had already been made. My story captured my mind and heart, occupying my thoughts nearly every moment of every day. The allure was undeniable—my heart had already chosen its path.
I knew I would never regret going all-in on this dream. No matter the outcome, I would always respect myself for having the courage to believe in it wholeheartedly. Along the way, I’ve realized that this story chose me as much as I chose it. The characters and scenes feel like lifelong companions, and writing has become as essential as breathing. Today, I count the entities of my story among my truest and most steadfast friends.
